Again, please do not expect Spanish Costa style entertainment or the wild theme parks of Florida, this is a totally different experience.

Moalboal is one of the municipalities in Cebu, located 89 kilometers from Cebu City. It only takes about 2 hours by bus. A view of Badian Island and the popular tourist attraction, Pescador Island can be clearly seen while crossing the Moalboal's tulay.
Malapascua Island is a tiny island located in Daanbantayan, Cebu, just across a shallow strait from the northernmost coast of Cebu Island. It is a great diving destination with a wide white sand beach and beautiful coral gardens. Its underwater plateau, the Monad Shoal, is the only place in the world where divers can reliably spot thresher sharks and manta rays on a regular basis.
Bantayan Island is an island in the Philippines located at the western portion of the northern tip of Cebu the Island can be reached by ferry from Hagnaya Wharf in San Remigio, Cebu, or from Cebu City, or from Cadiz City in Negros Occidental.
Lapu-Lapu City is a highly-urbanized city in the province of Cebu. It occupies most of Mactan Island, and also covers the whole of Olango Island. It is part of the larger Cebu Metropolitan area which is centered on Cebu City
The “Top” on Busay Hills affords panoramic views of Metro Cebu, Mactan and Olango and so is ideal for picnics.. There are a couple of restaurants in the local area in addition are the beautiful views while you enjoy your gastronomic delights of grilled manok and ice tea.
In Manila however, the capitol city of the Philippines there is less of a resort atmosphere, it is the home of the government and official residency of the major public buildings and utilities. However Manila is a combination of many cities, Quezon, Makati, Caviti and more are all linked together in a seemingly huge mass metropolis. If you intend to stay in Manila before exploring the islands, here are a few suggested hotels for you to pursue;
Try if you can to visit the ladies home or at least her home town / city to understand more about her way of life. Most towns and cities have a mixture of hotels and smaller guest house type accommodation called “Pension houses” hotel prices vary from region to region, but a decent hotel will cost around 1200 upwards per night. Prices are charged on a room basis and not all offer breakfast so check this out when booking. The hotels we have stayed in are usually clean tidy with a decent room and aircon and there many to choose from in most large cities. If you are on a limited budget and do not mind forsaking a few creature comforts, pension hotels offer a reasonable alternative and you can pay as little as 300 peso per night (12 hours) BUT there is likely to be no hot water, just an electric fan, a bed that might not be up to your usual slumbering standards and do not expect a panoramic view from your window. Opening the curtains may well reveal a close up of the neighbouring premises wall. However most pension hotels do offer a variety of rooms at various prices, with amenities and specifications on par with hotels and can offer exceptional value for money. Again if you are travelling around and your lady friend is not sure where to stay, ask a taxi or tricycle driver for advice.
Why do I keep mentioning that you should make every effort to visit your ladies home and family? Well there are many obvious reasons apart from being socially accepted into her family, you will get a real feel for the way of life and begin to understand more about your lady, her family and the environment in which she lives. The Philippine people really do love to see foreigners and you will soon feel welcome and part of the family. Your lady may or may not live in a house with coconut leaves for a roof and bamboo for walls. But for sure their hearts will
make you feel part of the family and provided you accept them for who they are, they will make your stay an unforgettable experience. If you are lucky enough to visit a town or city away from the airports, your arrival there is sure to bring about much curiosity and a ride in a tricycle will endorse this further, a wave of acknowledgment to bystanders may sound an odd thing to do. However I can assure you, without being patronising, a wave and say “Hi” to a passerby when they acknowledge you can bring some wonderful smiles and appreciation from people.

Cotton knee length shorts a night club bouncer from Jamaica would turn eyebrows up at. Wearing either open sandals or, sports trainers with socks. Oh, and a base ball cap. Usually strolling to or from MacDonald’s. Come on guys, you may not have had a lady in your life to advise you on current trends recently, so smarten up or beware of the fashion police, yes they are here too! You don’t have to spend a fortune to look trendy and besides, do you really want to look like a car boot sale model for your new lady? She will love you even more if you make an effort to look good for her, because you can guarantee she will make a real effort to look good for you.
